Children - Living Word Church
Welcome to St Paul’s United Methodist Church's Children's Ministry
At St Paul’s United Methodist Church, we are committed to providing a nurturing environment where children can grow in their faith and develop lasting relationships with God and each other. Our Children's Ministry is dedicated to fostering a strong foundation of faith in the young hearts and minds. Through engaging programs, activities, and resources, we strive to create a positive and enriching experience for children of all ages.
Our Mission
Our mission is to guide children towards a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and empower them to lead lives rooted in faith, love, and service. We believe in fostering an environment that encourages spiritual growth, character development, and the exploration of Biblical principles. Our dedicated team of volunteers and staff work tirelessly to create a safe and inclusive space where children can explore their faith, ask questions, and develop a personal understanding of God's love.
Programs and Activities
We offer a variety of programs and activities tailored to meet the unique needs and interests of children. From Sunday School to Vacation Bible School, our programs provide opportunities for learning, worship, and fellowship. Our curriculum is designed to engage children through age-appropriate teachings, interactive lessons, and hands-on activities that bring the Bible to life. Through participation in our programs, children are encouraged to grow spiritually, form friendships, and develop a sense of belonging within the church community.
Sunday School
Sunday School is at the heart of our Children's Ministry. We offer engaging and interactive classes for children of all ages, from preschoolers to teenagers. Our dedicated teachers create a welcoming environment where children can learn about the Bible, its teachings, and how to apply them to their daily lives. Through age-appropriate lessons, creative storytelling, and group discussions, children are encouraged to explore their faith, ask questions, and build a solid foundation of biblical knowledge.
Vacation Bible School
Our annual Vacation Bible School (VBS) is a highlight of the summer for many children. VBS is a fun-filled week where children come together to discover God's love through music, arts and crafts, games, and interactive lessons. Each year, we have a different theme that captivates children's imagination, making learning about God both exciting and memorable. VBS provides an immersive experience that fosters a sense of community, teamwork, and deepens children's understanding of God's love and purpose for their lives.
Youth Groups
Our Children's Ministry also provides opportunities for older children and teenagers to connect with peers who share their faith and values. Our youth groups meet regularly to engage in discussions, service projects, and fellowship activities. These groups create a supportive community where young individuals can grow in their faith, build meaningful relationships, and develop leadership skills that will guide them into adulthood.
Resources for Children and Families
In addition to our programs and activities, we are committed to equipping children and families with resources that promote spiritual growth and development. Our library offers a wide selection of age-appropriate books, DVDs, and educational materials that children can borrow to deepen their understanding of the Bible and explore their faith further. We also host regular family events, workshops, and seminars that provide parents with practical tools and guidance to help nurture their child's faith journey.
