About Mobile Loaves & Fishes

Mobile Loaves & Fishes is an incredible community outreach program organized by St. Paul's United Methodist Church in New Bedford. With a strong focus on serving those in need, this initiative aims to make a positive impact on the lives of individuals and families struggling with homelessness and food insecurity.

Our Mission

At St. Paul's United Methodist Church, we strongly believe in the importance of compassion, empathy, and love for our fellow human beings. Through Mobile Loaves & Fishes, we strive to provide nourishment, hope, and support to those who may be facing challenging circumstances.

Addressing Homelessness

Homelessness is a critical issue affecting communities worldwide, including New Bedford. Through Mobile Loaves & Fishes, we work diligently to tackle this problem by offering both immediate and long-term solutions. We understand that providing a warm meal is just the first step towards transforming lives.

Our Services

1. Food Truck Service: We operate a food truck that travels to various locations in New Bedford, serving nutritious meals to those in need. Our dedicated team of volunteers ensures that everyone receives a hot meal, regardless of their circumstances.

2. Basic Supplies: In addition to food, we provide essential supplies such as clothing, hygiene items, and blankets to individuals experiencing homelessness. Our aim is to address immediate needs while also fostering a sense of dignity and respect.

3. Supportive Resources: We collaborate with local organizations to connect individuals with vital resources, including medical assistance, housing support, and employment opportunities. Furthermore, we offer guidance and counseling to those seeking to rebuild their lives.
